Tuesday, January 18

4:58 p.m. Officers assisted Lower Merion Police in tracking a 911 call from Bettws-y-Coed. Area checked. Origin of call unknown.

11:14 p.m. Report received that a Campus Shuttle driver struck and damaged a fire hydrant behind Radnor Hall. Facilities Services notified. Minor damage. No passengers. No injuries.

Wednesday, January 19

8:58 p.m. An unregistered vehicle belonging to a resident student was “BOOTED” while illegally parked on Canaday Drive. The “BOOT” was removed when numerous unpaid parking tickets were paid.

9:36 a.m. A resident student was transported to Bryn Mawr Hospital for treatment of extreme back pain.

Thursday, January 20

3:32 p.m. Computing Services staff report that a resident student is receiving obscene and somewhat threatening electronic mail. Investigation continuing.

9:47 p.m. A resident student reports receiving an annoying and harassing electronic mail. Investigation continuing.

Friday, January 21

1:57 p.m. Officers transported a Haverford College student from campus to Bryn Mawr Hospital for treatment for an allergic reaction.

Saturday, January 22

12:47 a.m. Officers requested by a friend on campus to check the well-being of a resident student. Resident’s room later entered in company of a Hall Advisor and resident found asleep and in good health. Everything O.K.

Sunday, January 23

12:57 p.m. Residents at Batten House report an ATM debit card missing from the residence sometime over winter break. Investigation continuing.

Haverford College

Officers from Safety & Security handled 422 incidents during this period, including 50 lockouts, 58 maintenance problems, 79 special building checks, and 17 alarms. Dorm doors were found unsecured 117 times.

There were no alcohol illness cases this week.

Monday, January 17

4:00 p.m. Burglary - Barclay

$30 in quarters was stolen from a student’s room in Barclay over mid-year break.

Tuesday, January 18

12:29 p.m. Vandalism - Hannum Dr.

The door of a student’s SAAB was scratched with a metal tool, overnight while it was parked near 10 Hannum Drive. No other vehicles were damaged.

Friday, January 21

10:26 p.m. Theft - Campus

A student learned her credit card was used to make fraudulent purchases in Media, PA on January 19, and she then discovered her wallet had been stolen, somewhere on campus, between January 18-19.

Saturday, January 22

1:07 p.m. Theft - Dining Center

A bookbag was stolen from the DC foyer on January 20, between Noon - 12:30 p.m. It contained music books, CDs, and a passport.

Sunday, January 23

6:28 p.m. Theft - Locker Building

A backpack was stolen while the student was showering in the men’s locker room, between 6:l5-6:20 p.m. It contained a jacket, hats, a track suit, and a planner, all valued at $83.
