Baltimore, MD - Bryn Mawr’s two game winning streak was snapped last Tuesday as they fell to the College of Notre Dame 48-43. Mary Kutteruf ’03 led Bryn Mawr with 12 points while Thaly Germain ’01 scored 11. The game was tied 20-20 at the half, but Notre Dame was able to ride the hot shooting of A. Poppleton down the stretch as she scored four points in the closing two minutes of the game.

Bryn Mawr, PA - The Bryn Mawr Basketball team won another game - the third out of the last four - on Wednesday, pulling away from Chestnut Hill from the opening tip-off. The Mawrters led 23-5 at the half, 38-5 with five minutes remaining in the game, and then ultimately won by a score of 44-21. Bryn Mawr was led by the scoring of Mary Kutteruf ’03 (9 points) and Katie Murray ’02 (7 points). The big story of the evening was Bryn Mawr’s dominance on the boards, as they out-rebounded the Griffins 70-33. Pashawnda Briley ’03 led with 19 rebounds, while Murray (18 rebounds) and Kutteruf (11 rebounds) also had a big night.

Swimming

Bryn Mawr, PA - Bryn Mawr’s swim team won its second meet of the week Wednesday night, outscoring Beaver College 83-55. The Mawrters were led by the 1-2 finish of Tracey Posluszny ’02 and Sennah Loftus ’00 in the 200 Freestyle, as both swimmers put up their first Centennial Conference Championship qualifying marks of the season. Mitsumi Iida ’00 (200 Individual Medley, 100 Butterfly) and Julia Switzer ’03 (1000 Freestyle. 500 FreestyIe) were both double-winners.
