Economics Class travels to Brussels and Frankfurt over Fall Break

Over fall break, students enrolled in Economics of Transition and Euro Adoption in Central and Eastern Europe taught by Visiting Professor of Economics Biswajit Banerjee traveled to Brussels and Frankfurt. The students had the opportunity to attend specially crafted lectures at the European Commission, the European Central Bank and the Frankfurt School of Finance and Management. The visit was a prime learning experience for the students as they have learning about the history of the euro and Central and Eastern Europe’s switch to market economies. The trip was funded by the Center for Peace and Global Citizenship (CPGC) and the Provost’s Office. Banerjee hopes to include more international field trips in his courses.
