Well, hello my lovely darlings! December has begun and is ushering in chillier days. Get out those furry snow boots and be ready to delegate shoveling to someone else, for snow can’t be far away. Every year I wonder how best to capture that feeling of waking up in the morning after a night of snow, when the world is covered in a glistening carpet of clouds. Food often comes to mind, whether it be a warm mug of cocoa to complement your frosted cookie or that homemade dish you think about during finals week. Never fear, my lovelies, that moment of happiness will be here soon. Until then, as you trek to the DC with mittened hands shoved into your pockets and shoulders hunched up to your ears, here’s a little recipe that might get you in the winter mood. It’s called “Snowflake Noodles” and comes from the tried and true recipe box of Gabrielle Winick.
A small bowl of noodles (bowties are best) 1-however many spoonfuls of cottage cheese
Tap of cinnamon
Put the noodles in a bowl. Add as few or as many spoonfuls of cottage cheese as you would like and mix well. Add a few taps of cinnamon and mix them in. Then, enjoy!
Singing your favorite holiday songs while consuming this dish is optional but highly recommended.
Ciao Chow for now!
