About Us

History

Founded in 1909 as the Haverford News at Haverford College, and the College News at Bryn Mawr, The Bi-College News inherits a century-long tradition of excellence in college journalism. In 1968, the two newspapers merged under the banner The News, launching Haverford and Bryn Mawr’s largest student cooperative initiative. Christened The Bi-College News in 1980, the paper aggressively reports on the Bryn Mawr and Haverford communities.

Today

Currently, The Bi-College News is distributed for free to both campuses on a weekly basis. Its volunteer staff of twenty editors, sixty writers, layout assistants, and photographers make the paper what it is today. Interested parties living off campus can subscribe for a nominal fee.

Biconews.com

Biconews.com, the online edition of the newspaper, is provided as a service for alumni, parents, and other friends of the colleges. The automated syndication (RSS feed) is provided for personal use and convenience. These online services are not intended for the use of third parties to "screen scrape," republish, or otherwise redistribute content belonging to the Bi-College news. Third parties wishing to do so should contact the paper directly and request permission.
